This job was performed for Foss Maritime in support of their barge operations for Red Dog Mining near Kotzebue, Alaska. American Construction loaded five Caterpillar front loaders at 40 tons each and a dozen twenty foot containers onto two specialized conveyer lightering barges. Barges are mobilized for 4-5 months of 24/7 work through the summer and fall seasons.
