Project Summary
The Kenmore, WA FY20 dredging project included removal of approximately 30,000 cubic yards (CY) of accumulated sediment from the Kenmore navigation channel located in Kenmore, WA from mid-December 2020 thru January of 2021. The dredging was accomplished using the mechanical clamshell dredge DB Mukilteo with a Cable-Arm environmental dredge bucket. This equipment was selected to achieve the project goals while minimizing the potential for impacts to the surrounding environment (e.g. excessive turbidity or re-sedimentation). Dredged material was placed in sealed flat-deck barges for dewatering and transportation to the Waste Management 8th avenue transload facility.
